Making Muscles, as requested by the Interviewer, Jeff, is that right, Jeff? :-) in my Williamsburg Living Room Post-Interview, 9/26/14  | photo: Jeff Wengrofsky

Jeff Wengrofsky came over to my apartment this past September and interviewed me for his radio show, Gift Horse: Inside New York Art, which just aired on Ukrainian National Radio. The broadcast was on Wednesday 3/11 and Sunday 3/15 at 8:00pm EST from Ukraine via I-RADIO. I haven't actually yet listened to it myself. Gonna do that this week! If you'd like to listen (maybe even before I have a chance to), here's the archived interview (looks like you actually have to scroll to the bottom of the page and type in my name in the search field).

Meredith Monk's Weekend-Long Workshop: Participants and Teachers, 2/15/15 | photo: Peter Sciscioli

As my 36th Birthday present to myself, I participated in an immersive weekend of workshops at Meredith Monk's beautifully spacious loft here in NYC. Meredith and her collaborators were a joy to work with - open, experimental, quirky, challenging, and so much fun! They provided us with thrill and safety, as we explored vulnerable, exciting ways to move and express ourselves anew. Love it! I wish I’d had a deeper understanding of Meredith's work before this workshop. I felt a close relatedness to her process / methods / goals as within my own work. I don’t so often feel this with many artists, so this was grounding and very, very inspiring. Please do consider participating in some workshops with her and her collaborators if you're every granted the opportunity. It's a wild (and educational) ride!

Oh my goodness… The Berlinale experience was out of this world! "Butter on the Latch" was received with endless enthusiasm. All the screenings (theaters of 500 people!) were sold out each night. Josephine Decker, the director of both "Butter on the Latch" and her second feature - which was also chosen to screen at the festival ("Thou Wast Mild and Lovely”) - was a wandering star at the Festival. We are so proud of her. The critical acclaim and press received for "Butter" is making me so proud to be part of this film. Here’s some adorable giggly red-carpet pics the whole thing was magical. Here's a trailer.
